We take members to global hackathons and conferences, fully funded by the society and our sponsors, and eight of our alumni businesses have recently raised funding. Free membership for all current and former Oxford students and postdocs is only possible because of our sponsors.

  • Silver and gold sponsors receive consultations free of charge; bronze sponsors are entitled to a discounted fee of £200.
  • Packages include use of an Oxford college room with presentation equipment, and end-to-end planning from our sponsorship and PR teams.
  • Refreshments and any external venue hire costs are excluded. Events must be exclusively open to OBS members.

Recruitment package

£1,250

A small private event for roughly 5–8 students, aimed at firms hiring directly from the University of Oxford. CV screening is included, so you can select from applicants.

External venue and food costs are not included and must be funded separately.

Global hack / conference

£15,000

Core sponsor for a global trip to an international conference or hackathon such as EthDenver, DevCon or EthCC — covering flights and accommodation for OBS members. In exchange, members attend your technical workshops and build on your hackathon track. The package also covers a mini hackathon and/or conference co-organised with your company, in the UK or internationally.

Social media & digital distribution

For non-termly sponsors looking for a one-off opportunity: one newsletter item distributed as a spotlight sponsor opportunity, plus one item posted across our social channels including Facebook, Discord and Telegram.

How we work with sponsors

OBS runs a PR consulting session with every sponsor so that all promotional material advertised on your behalf fits our brand strategy. We reserve the right to adapt promotional material so the design sits alongside our other content, and every graphic is sent back for your approval.

We ensure donations from our sponsors are invested in our members, and that such generosity is shared and communicated fully to our community in Oxford and beyond.
